At the nexus between our sectors, offerings, and support functions, the Operation Lead will ensure effective workflow processes and consistent and high-quality information flow to help Quantis fulfill its audacious mission.

The role

The Operations Lead is responsible for:


  • Building the operations architecture in synchrony with their peers in other branches
  • Facilitating the project staffing committee
  • Ensuring a framework for efficient and healthful distribution of workload based on skills, competencies, aspirations, availability and work-life balance
  • Ensuring Quantisians have all the tools and support necessary to manage their workload


  • Monitoring projects profitability and working with project teams and Community Leads to identify areas of improvement
  • Working closely with other branch Operations Leads to establish best practices related to operation

Quantis is a dynamic company experiencing rapid growth, and the optimization of our operations requires your skills as an Operations Lead if:

  • You have an outstanding track record of managing the operations of a growing professional services firm, ideally with 5+ years of relevant experience in a scientific, technical, or creative field.
  • You have a passion for problem solving and amplifying performance and productivity.
  • You’re a team player who works quickly, independently and on schedule with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • You are an excellent communicator and at ease with change management and interactive teams.
  • You are flexible, happy to adapt and support the evolution of your teammates and your branch.
  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business management, project management, change management, organizational design, project management, or a related field.
  • You speak fluent English; German would be a plus.
  • You have a passion for sustainability issues.

As our Operations Lead – Germany, here’s a preview of what type of work your days will include:


  • Monitor all active projects in the branch (size, weight, and status) and resources
  • Monitor the past (hours spent and reported) and future (planning) of all resources and their effective use
  • Coordinate with the other Quantis branches and other Operations Leads to support international staffing, alignment and collaboration across teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the Branch Director, Business Development Lead, Community Leads and Talent Lead on all aspects of the workload and operations efficiency, including contribution to the assessment of hiring needs at the branch level
  • Maintain consistency, integrity, completeness of existing operations management tools over time and proposing improvements to adapt to business needs and team evolution
  • Provide objective data and business-driven KPIs on workload management, project staffing, and project productivity


  • Manage operations platforms and tools (e.g., planning & workload files, NetSuite ERP system) and incentivize the team to update them regularly.
  • Staff and monitor staff workload and ensure equitable and strategic distribution of projects based on capacity, skills, experience and needs.
  • Analyze team metrics and align with the Managing Director to manage gaps.
  • Share platforms, tools, and dashboards with new team members during onboarding.


  • Monitor profitability and productivity, identify areas of opportunity and coordinate training and skill building.
  • Work closely with other branch Operations Leads to establish best practices related to operations and project management across Quantis.
  • Continuously improve and adapt our tools and key performance indicators to serve the team
  • Managing continuous improvement and adaptation of existing processes and tools to our ever-evolving team
  • Acting as a facilitator between workgroups, and arms the team with metrics, qualitative information, resources, skills and training they may need.
  • Demonstrating good change management skills to ease the day to day operations within the team

Some logistics to consider

  • Location: Germany (Berlin or other locations in Germany) according to a distributed workforce framework (on-going project)
  • Optimal start date: As soon as possible
  • Working time : 80%-100% 
  • Frequent collaboration with all other Quantis branches (France, Switzerland, Italy, US) via web-conferences, in English. 
  • Ability to travel to Berlin occasionally
