GHG Accounting Standard Methodology for Cocoa Sector

Thursday, September 25

The cocoa sector is taking meaningful steps toward climate accountability, and we’re excited to invite you to learn about the newly released GHG Accounting Manual for the Cocoa Sector

This manual, developed by World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) in collaboration with Quantis, provides practical guidance for addressing key challenges in GHG accounting, with a focus on Land Management, Land Use Change, and Removals. It is designed to establish a consistent and robust baseline for the cocoa sector, enabling alignment across the industry.

By addressing sector-specific complexities and aligning with the latest GHG Protocol guidance, the manual offers a valuable resource for cocoa sector actors and cross-commodity stakeholders working to enhance their climate strategies and meet global climate targets.
