Seminar Series Panel
Enhancing supply chain resilience in the face of climate change
24 June 2025 – 3:00pm BST – 3:45pm BST
As climate change and nature degradation accelerates, the vulnerability of raw materials has increased, disrupting ecosystems, agriculture and global supply chains.
Despite this growing challenge, brands and buyers often lack visibility back to the farm-level, relying heavily on audits and verifications to ensure materials are sustainably and responsibly sourced. While these approaches have their place, they are often siloed, compliance-driven, and insufficient to drive the system-wide transformation that true sustainability – and the resilience of value chains – demands.
This panel will explore why the fashion industry needs to move beyond checklists and compliance and towards new sourcing models that address the deeper socio-economic, environmental, and governance systems shaping agriculture and raw material production.
Featuring insights from the Regenerative Production Landscape Collaborative (RPLC), this panel discussion will highlight outcomes-based and regional approaches that build long-term resilience for communities and ecosystems, ensuring the long-term supply of raw materials.
Addressing sustainability at scale requires an approach that moves away from individual farm interventions and considers the broader socio-economic, environmental and governance structures influencing agricultural systems and landscapes.
This session, which will take place on the Seminar Main Stage, will focus on the need for new approaches that focus on localized and outcome-driven solutions, using RPLC as an example.
