Beyond the label: Unlocking reliable carbon data across the cosmetics supply chain
28 September 2026 – From 3:00pm until 3:45pm
Calculating a packaging’s carbon footprint is one thing but trusting that number is another. As cosmetics brands face growing pressure to measure and reduce Scope 3 emissions, the lack of a common methodology for calculating supplier-specific emission factors is leaving the industry with fragmented, incomparable data.
The Sustainable Packaging Initiative for Cosmetics (SPICE) is tackling this challenge head-on through the SHARP taskforce (Supplier HARmonized PCF), bringing together brands and suppliers to build a harmonized, practical methodology to create supplier-specific emission factors for packaging materials.
Join experts from the industry to discover how this industry-wide effort is paving the way for more reliable data, smarter ecodesign decisions, and a truly comparable view of packaging impact across the supply chain.
Speakers:
- Jean-Marc Fontaine, Cosmetics Senior Sustainability Strategist, Quantis France and SPICE Program Manager
- Matthieu Daudon, Category Purchasing Director – Glass & Cardboard, LVMH Beauty
