Sustainable Plastics Europe 2026 brings together industry leaders and innovators to advance a circular economy for plastics.

15 April 2026 - 16 April 2025
Germany

Sustainable Plastics Europe 2026 brings together industry leaders and innovators to advance a circular economy for plastics.

The event will showcase bio-based and recyclable materials, packaging solutions, and production technologies that reduce plastic pollution and support regulatory compliance.

Sustainable Plastics Europe 2026 is one of the leading trade fairs for developments in bio-based and recyclable plastics. Across the event, industry leaders will present innovations in materials, packaging, and manufacturing technologies aimed at addressing global plastic pollution.

As environmental and regulatory requirements continue to increase, the plastics industry faces challenges such as reducing single-use plastics and improving recyclability. The event will highlight sustainable materials and production techniques that support compliance while accelerating the transition to a circular economy.

Our SessionLife Cycle Assessment as a Decision Framework for Sustainable Packaging Innovation

In this session, Sophie Herrmann, Managing Director of Quantis Germany, will demonstrate how alternatives to fossil-based plastics can be assessed in a robust and science-based way. The session will focus on bioplastics and wood-based packaging, drawing on full life cycle assessment (LCA) to compare environmental impacts.

The session will also highlight how these comparisons depend on regional system context, and how companies can use these insights to build resilient packaging strategies and make sound technology decisions.
