  • You’re motivated and aligned towards our mission of aligning businesses with Planetary Boundaries.
  • You possess 8 years or more experience leading financial matters, preferably in International/Multinational Professional Services firm background or similar experience in CPA or management accounting firms.
  • You are autonomous and able to lead with minimal guidance & possess strong organization and time management capabilities
  • You have the ability to see the big picture for both finance and controlling topics, and provide solution-oriented advisory to office leadership.
  • You a seasoned professional able to communicate effectively and with authenticity.
  • You are familiar with US financial reporting and GAAP requirements.
  • You have hands-on experience in general accounting, planning and analysis, treasury, financial systems implementation, financial reporting
  • You possess deep knowledge of accounting and metrics in the service industries.
  • You have strong strategic business planning skills and a successful track record in building and deploying strategies on financial matters
  • Your analytical and organizational skills are top-notch.
  • You’re a team player that enables others to be successful at finding solutions using their expertise by providing clear guidance, support, and direction.
  • You communicate effectively and efficiently in fluent English.
  • You’re experienced at and passionate about supporting the growth and development of your colleagues.
  • Data affinity and proficiency in MS Office software and databases, especially financial.

As our US Finance Lead, here’s a preview of what type of work you’ll be involved in:

Accounting & Administrative Processes

  • Run the day-to-day accounting processes utilizing the Quantis´s internal finance systems, ensuring the integrity of the data in these systems
  • Oversee payroll, managing the financial impact of new hires, terminations, transfers, compensation, pension plans and other benefits
  • Manage payments and the day-to-day cash position (including any financing requirements)
  • Ensure that local practices comply with Quantis policies and local requirements
  • Understand and ensure compliance with internal and external deadlines

Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare Quantis US annual financial plans and re-estimates
  • Responsible for preparation of GAAP financial statements
  • Responsible for preparation of cash forecast
  • Provide timely and meaningful management reporting as a basis for business decisions
  • Be proactive in determining the impact of year-to-date variances on the annual plan and in recommending remedial actions
  • Provide ad hoc information and analysis, as required
  • Manage the local audit relationship and be responsible for final audit results

Firm Performance

  • Track and monitor capacity, clients, revenues and costs, continuously identifying and implementing programs for reducing “other costs” and profit improvement measures
  • Maximize purchasing efficiencies, whenever possible. Ensuring adherence to firm-wide vendor policies and agreements
  • Implement best practices in invoicing and collections process in order to decrease DSO and maximize cash collections
  • Manage treasury including monthly cash forecasting and managing local banking relationships and ensure day-to-day liquidity

Risk Management & Legal

  • Ensure that risk management is effectively embedded into the finance function, including ensuring adequate systems of internal control (segregation of duties, reconciliations, checks and balances and oversight)
  • Pro-actively identify and mitigate risks including embedding risk management philosophy with the various functions
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, including preparing all official documents and filings required by local laws
  • Ensure appropriate local office policies are in place and monitored, and adherence to global policies
  • Assist in client negotiations and contracting, ensuring appropriate processes are in place regarding client contract management including enforcement of world-wide contracting policies
  • Manage local office insurances

Leadership & Strategic Partnership

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Quantis US leadership team developing close relationships with the Managing Director, the Talent Lead, the Operations Lead, and our Branch Team Leads.
  • Support the Managing Director and Global Financial Lead in thought leadership on financial matters to best enable the branch and our people.

Some logistics to consider

  • Location: United States – Boston, MA
  • Optimal start date: As soon as possible
  • Frequent collaboration with other Quantis branches (France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy) via web-conferences
  • Ability to travel, up to 10%
