Co-authored by Quantis experts Marcial Vargas-Gonzalez, François Witte, Sébastien Humbert and others, this article presents a new set of Planetary Boundaries-based weighting factors for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and demonstrates their usefulness through test results from several products from cosmetic company L’Oréal.
These weighting factors provide a simple and operational system for practitioners to approach planetary boundaries. It allows companies to pinpoint priority planetary boundaries issues for attention in the cosmetics sector.
