+ Nature Impact – Wie integrieren Modeunternehmen Umweltschutz wissenschaftlich basiert in ihre Strategien? (Session in German)
October 1st / 12.30-13.00
Treating nature with respect is a widespread motto in the fair fashion world. But how can fashion companies actually base their sustainability goals on environmental protection that not only on what feels right, but based on current scientific findings? What might a holistic approachthat combines biodiversity, climate change and more sustainable business look like? And how can fashion companies deal with environmental impacts and dependencies?
In this talk, Andrea Roxin will give an insight into the Science-Based Targets for Nature (SBTN) framework. While Science-Based Targets (SBT) support companies with standards, tools and guidelines in reducing their impact on the climate crisis, the SBTN complements the perspective with science-based targets for nature. Based on this ground: companies must anchor science-based targets that protect both nature and the climate in their corporate strategies – for a healthier Planet and for the long-term resilience of companies themselves.
